New Shoes – Low Budget
Apr/100
The shoes were on sale, therefore, low budget… Did you fall for that?
Neither did I.
But, the lighting and photography was relatively low budget this time. I used my girlfriends brand new Canon G11, relatively cheap compared to other cameras you could purchase, capable of manual control and has a hot shoe; two very important features for Strobist style shooting. The flash I used was a Yongnuo YN462, triggered with a Yongnuo PT-04 from Deal Extreme. I also used a light stand, umbrella, umbrella adapter and a home made reflector. All in all, Strobist everything for sub $700.
In case you are wondering why the photos are square cropped, it is because I didn’t know the G11 doesn’t shoot in 4×6 like my 40D, so my framing didn’t allow me to make my usual crop, but I do like the square framing here. Live and learn.
